What’s up, Techsploders! It’s been a super busy couple of weeks! Lot’s of experimentation with different formats which I’ve really been enjoying.
I’m playing around with the Shorts format a lot and finding some grooves. My unboxings approach (complete with ASMR touches that you either love or hate) is more and more dialed in.
I also have been flirting with using Shorts as a vehicle for parts of the review lifecycle that aren’t quite a FULL expansive review, or even an impressions video. Rather, if I get a product in my hands and want to get something up NOW, I can do something like the short I recorded about the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus. It’s a lower lift from a resources perspective, it plays to the Shorts platform, and sometimes its just really enjoyable to do something QUICK and scrappy and not spend literal days on production.
I did something similar with the following LONGER short about the Nothing Ear (open) earphones. I prepared this for the launch of YouTube’s 3-minute Shorts, that’s why its longer than a standard Short (and also why YouTube isn’t presenting it AS a Short yet.)
See, YouTube set last Tuesday as the launch day for 3-minute Shorts. I thought it would be smart to start playhing the longer-Short game cause major new features like this don’t hit YouTube that often. It felt right to be an early mover and see what it got me. Well, in this case, not much. Cause while YouTube did launch 3-minute Shorts on Tuesday, it will take a few weeks for everything to appear in the feeds as such. So, of course, I threw together a 3-minute Short ABOUT 3-minute Shorts.
OK, so I don’t have a whole lot to write outside of this cause, due to the sheer amount of video I’ve released in the past few weeks, my brain is fried. But THANK YOU for your support!!
